Let him know that sometimes things work out. My father was diagnosed with kidney cancer that had made its way into his lymph nodes. He was given 2 years max, that was 4 years ago and there has been no sign of cancer for about two and a half years. So tell your buddy and his family that there is always hope!

So that was his daughter's 1st Rockets game & it was a blowout win. Hmmmm! Has anyone thought about getting her free tickets to all home games? Justta thought. I mean we can use all the karma we can get!

 

Very good story to pass along -- the kind that helps put things in perspective, especially in terms of enjoying what we've got as opposed to complaining about what we don't have or what we need to get or (fill in the blank).

Clutch, you didn't mention if he was married. Is he and where was his wife? I'd feel really bad if those awesome kids lost their daddy and didn't have a mother to care for them, so the dude better get well for those kids.
