A good friend of mine has been battling cancer the last 4-5 years and was recently diagnosed with leukemia. He has four kids ranging from 8 to 13. He just has been hit with bad news quite a bit in the last few weeks. The Rockets gave us tickets to last night's game. His daughter had never been to a Rockets game and loved it. They were just grinning from ear to ear all night and seemed to forget their problems. They even caught one of the C&D Scrap Metal Rockets hats late in the game. But late in the first quarter, Rockets director of Marketing Ken Sheirr came out to our seats and brought him a Luis Scola jersey signed by Luis (his favorite player). He was floored by it and his daughter kept the jersey on all night -- just a class move by a class organization. Ken hung out with us for a quarter and talked about the team. It was awesome. <table><tr><td></td><td></td></tr></table> Anyway, I just want to say thanks for what they did -- the whole experience was very special for them.
