Thompson wins the Mexican Stand off.

    Good luck to him.

Honestly, I thought he and his agent would blink first.

    Good for him.
    Bad for the Cavs.

Too much money; problem is almost every contract these days seems to be too much. Crazy how contracts will go even higher next off season.

Rich Paul: Play hardball until his clients get paid.

Eric Bledsoe(Hardball before agreeing to 5 year, $70M deal)
    Kentavious Caldwell-Pope(Still on rookie contract)
Norris Cole(Just signed QO this past week)
Montrezl Harrell(Signed late for a 2nd, albeit early, round pick)
    LeBron James(...)
    Cory Joseph(4 years, $30M)
    Trey Lyles(Rookie)
    Ben McLemore(Still on rookie deal)
    Kevin Seraphin(1 year, $2.8M)
Tristan Thompson(Holdout before agreeing to 5 years, $82M deal)

Although, seems like Tristan & Rich caved here, not the Cavs if previous reports are to be believed. (5 years, $80M)

I don't think it was max money. I don't want to look it up, anyone know what would be max money for TT for a 5 year deal.

So how's Gilbert going to justify paying a bench player max money to come off the bench?

Looks like TT left about 6M on the table. I calculated his max contract at 88-89M.
