that just doesn't mesh with the age.

If I'm Cleveland I gun for Marc. But Marc as a Laker, that's not attracting LeBron.

But if Cleveland wants to keep LeBron, that's the same reasoning - Gasol doesn't move the needle. If Cleveland believes LeBron is leaving, they wouldn't get Gasol either.

To me, Gasol to LA, to lure LeBron, fits. Gasol is a veteran presence, stability at the 5, is one of the best passing big men in the game, and has playoff experience.

Lonzo and Kuzma have to learn on the fly with LeBron. Gasol would already know what he's doing. With Gasol, LeBron doesn't need to dictate the offense as much.

It wouldn't be the BEST thing LA can do, but it's certainly not the worst.

I'm guessing Brook Lopez and Julius Randle would be the centerpiece of the offer

Or perhaps Harden and Paul for Conley and Parsons?? The Grizzlies can pair those two with Gasol for short term gain, this season.

Where as the Rockets get younger and can pair Parson/Conley/Capela together.

Who says no?? You could get Beverley back for next season. If you really want to shake things up trade Capela and Gordon for Cousins if you decide to give up the Lebron James dream. And trade Anderson and Ariza to the Celtics for Gordon Hayward. All great shooters with someone to post up when the shots stop falling in the playoffs with Cousins.

    Beverley
    Conley
    Parsons
    Hayward
    Cousins

Lebron isn’t going to LA...they can try to get Gasol if they want, it doesn’t matter

They wouldn't need much of a value to trade for Gasol anyway.

All these news..perhaps the Lakers start to feel uncomfortable with PG13 saying the decision is now easier?
Maybe things aren't as easy as they thought and they think they must make a move soon to convince stars to sign.
