All right, sounds good. I didn't mean to derail this thread. I apologize. That's why I made it a point to end my posts with references to the Rockets and Jimmy Butler so that I wouldn't drift too far off topic. But if I stepped out of line, I apologize and will choose a more appropriate thread to share my thoughts and info.
They can take it seriously all they want to. It doesnt mean they will get him. They took PG seriously too.
Woj: This is what Tom Thibodeau wanted: him in the lineup on opening night. This is why the day Jimmy came back & practiced, Thibs won. He waited out his owner, he waited out Jimmy & got him back on the court. Teams who talked to Minnesota after his first practice, literally the day after his first practice, Minnesota was asking for more then than they were before which tells you Minnesota isn't trading him. They're asking for packages they know teams won't agree to. At some point that'll have to end as we get closer to the February trade deadline if they're going to trade him. I think you'll see teams circle back when they feel like Minnesota is ready to be realistic. Thibodeau got what he wanted.
Thibs got what he wanted, but we’ll see how toxic that locker room ends up being, and at the end of the day, you will have to trade him because losing him for nothing when u already know he’s definitely leaving is an indefensible move a bad environment can ruin the season for a talented team, see the 15-16 Rockets
Man, and he doesnt even care if he gets fired LOL. Cause then he will just be swimming in cash. Its truly a no lose situation for him. And I'm guessing Taylor is too cheap to actually fire him haha.
Nutshell version of why our chances are better than most team's chances at getting Jimmy B... Other GMs: "I'm offering you X and Y and a 1st round pick." Minny: "Not enough." Other GMs: "Okay, how about X and Z and a 1st rounder?" Minny: "Not enough." Other GMs: "{*sigh*} X, Y and Z and a 1st rounder?" Minny: "Not enough." Other GMs: "You motherf%$ker!" Murrey: "I'm offering you X and Y and a 1st round pick." Minny: "Not enough." Murey: "What about X and Z and a 1st round pick?" Minny: "Not enough." Murrey: "Y and Z and a 1st round pick?" Minny: "Not enough." Murrey: "A and B and two 1st round picks, including one from Sacramento?" Minny: "Not enough." Murrey: "A, G, S, Z and a 1st round pick?" Minny: "Not enough." Murrey: "Hmm... perhaps you'd be interested in X, Y, Z and Clutch the mascot?" Minny: "Not enough." Murrey: "I can do Eric Gordon and a lifetime All-You-Can-Eat card good at every Landry's restaurant." Minny: "Not enough." Murrey: "How about our entire bench and two dozen 2nd-round picks?" Minny: "Still not enough." Murrey: (puts hand over phone and whispers) "Gerson, have someone bring more coffee." Murrey: (takes a deep breath, then speaks just as calmly as with the first offer) "OK, how about..." That, ClutchFans, is how you get it done.
Towns ejected (for six fouls), Minnie losing, not sure how Butler was on the court but looking at the boxscore seems like he made his part.
Love common sense, and when intelligent guys read legitimate truth. No lies, just Ears. XO Also, Fcancer and my bills. #Morning
Good for you to show up, Cod. Well, I don't know what pieces we can pick up, but last night's game showed we are stinking it up in pace and size. (Blowing layups and such should go away, once our guys stop eating chicken fried steak with cream gravy and mashed potatoes before the game----or whatever it was that made them play so sluggishly.)
