I don't think they could hire JVG right now if they wanted to. JVG is still with ESPN and he would have to finish his broadcasting duties at the end of the year. Also, he won't take a job that is already currently taken. It would have to be the offseason. Thibs would be available right now, but if you fire JB, his staff might want to leave also. Thibs won't have enough time to assemble a staff in the middle of the season. We are stuck with JB or Finch for the rest of this season.
In the past 4-5 yrs, we only had two true shooters, but even those guys were way too streaky. Fino and Douglas
The Rockets aren't getting JVG or Thibs or any other veteran coach til next summer. No way will any of those guys take this job with the way the team is performing right now. They'll wanna see who's left on this roster by the offseason, which draft pick the Rockets wind up with, and who the GM will be.
Morey is a good GM. Morey has done a terrible job finding shooters to fit his philosophy. Those are not mutually exclusive.
Calm down! It's too early to say sth. Nobody r ready for games. It needs time to adjust. Tj & Brewer & Lawson & Pbev r all not in a good situation. Morey should make some moves to restart! Maybe one elite PF can change all things
I don't want Morey gone. The offensive philosophy needs to change, though. It feels like the Rockets can't get 30 points in the first quarter. Or 60 points by halftime anymore.
Morey is a failure people ride him because he acted on crazy situations like Harden and Lawson but other than that he's done NOTHING. Look how Bob Myers got all the right guys to fit a system that worked and won GS a championship. The analytic geek has got to go
Insanity: Doing the same thing repeatedly ecpecting different results. Moreys had ample, if youre smart you'll know mauryball has run its course. Decade long experiment over.
The problem is Morey seems to have abandoned his own analytics in recent acquisitions, which is ironic given his reputation. Nothing in the analytics suggested Brewer would be a good fit for this offense. Ariza struggling was predictable. Even Josh Smith was awful in terms of efficiency.
Harden could be a politician, he's going a fantastic job back stabbing all his enemies within the organization. In just 16 games he's gotten McHale fired, Howard at the door, and Morey soon after... That's quite a feat.
that game 6 of the clippers series really stands out to me. it really made me question harden as a player. he needs someone to put him in check. im not sure how big his ego is, he always came across as someone without an ego. but if all this kardashian **** is true, **** him. if he wants to be a diva, dump his ass. i have no respect for divas in this league. they get paid millions under contract to play basketball, and they cant put forth the effort? thats ****ty. you know what i really enjoyed. and i have to be 100% honest. i really enjoyed watching our rockets during adelman's tenure. they never went to the playoffs, but damn did they scrap hard and put forth 100% effort night in and night out. no star, just good team ball and the desire to win with the highest point average offense. that was a fun squad to watch, and i really enjoyed watching that squad much more than watching this rocket squad that made the playoffs with harden. i have not seen the rockets scrap that hard night in and night out since. watching harden-hero ball is not the way.
