http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/story/_/id/9484776/los-angeles-lakers-eye-carmelo-anthony-lebron-james-2014 Maybe if they ask REEEEEEAAALLY nice. Kobe can tell Lebron, "I know you got two, but lemme show you how to get FIVE." Man, just imagine if LA gets spurned again next year, people are going to be repping that Nelly video so hard.
I thought Melo was all about New York? What happened to that? As for LeBron, I hope he doesn't go. His image has been repaired. Leaving for LAL could only hurt him. I would say he's going back to Cleveland or staying in Miami.
I can see Melo going to LA for the money, but I'll be surprised if Lebron goes there. I think LA is in for an eye opening experience for the next couple of years. They're like Boston used to be a few years ago. They think everyone wants to play in LA & that they don't have to do anything but say, "We're LA. Everybody wants to come to LA.". LA's best chance of recovery would be to swallow their egos, trade Kobe once (if) he's healthy again & start loading up on picks/prospects. Hmmmm........., didn't another team just do something like that recently?

Anyone trying to leave their original team for the Lakers will have the same quandary Dwight found himself in. Can Melo leave 30M on the table? At his age and his style of play I don't think you can guarantee that fifth year at the max the way you could with Dwight. No. Dwight was a special case. I predict all other superstars will choose the Chris Paul route.Melo ain't goin nowhere.
They're dreaming. The fact is losing Dwight will have the Lakers in the lottery for a good while once Kobe's done and they're only barely playoff quality with Kobe.
