    DJ has a player option for next year at $24M+. Hard to imagine him giving up a whole lot of that guaranteed money, especially to sign anything long-term at a discount. That would be many millions he'd be leaving on the table compared to opting in, then going on the market the following year for another big contract.

    Don't overlook the possibility that this "info" was purposely leaked by the organization in order to get Clint and his agent talking early about just how badly he wants to remain with the Rockets. Morey is anything but careless when it comes to player dealings.

    Now will somebody please mop up Holic's drool puddle?

    DeAndre Schofield had the blueprint tatted on him all along. Houston will land The King and will be blessed on blessed leading to bright, sunny days. And DeAndre Jordan is the key to it all

    Thanks for the info @cyberx

    Capella is gonna get paid next year, and is obviously the better/ younger player at this point (especially since hitting FTs at a higher clip)

    But to have room for both CP3 and another perrinial all-star next year, Deandre Jordan at a discount is not a bad consolation prize

    This isn’t both probably true but also pointless. Not only is Capela better these days he’s also counting like $3mil against the cap in the offseason for the rockets to have room signing other players.

    DeAndre would be good on the Rockets but even at a discount we’re talking $20mil/yr for an aging center. Not that good for a team that may be going into luxury tax territory with CP3 re-signed
