How would this even work? Let Clint walk (renounce his rights) and then sign DJ? Interesting nonetheless.

Don’t want to lose Clint at all, but if something does happen then it’s good to know we have a plan B that would be most teams plan A.

Does a package of Anderson and Capela have any trade value?

Capela is the starting center is an all-time great team. Morey will not break up this team for DeAndre Jordan. He is no dummy.

Next season, maybe, if LeBron is coming.

Capela ain't leaving. I'm sure he knows who's feeding him the stats right now and going anyplace else would expose him as not being able to duplicate what he has accomplished so far. Not taking anything away from Capela, but he is a not a "do-it-himself" type of player.

Analysts think he will opt out and perhaps take a paycut to join houston but I dont think anyone has confirmed he would take 26m over 4 years. That is a HUGE paycut.

I think he is thinking of dropping from his current salary to about 15 mil per (which might be around what capela gets anyway)

Would love to be proven wrong though.

Hard to blame him, the shot clock went off so he probably thought that was the end of the quarter buzzer. Still a bit of a brain fart...

What is interesting here is that Paul basically illustrated this type of scenario last offseason.

PO in the final year, Deandre could tell LAC, I am going to Houston, let me opt in and trade me there.

Really want to keep Clint, he's coming into his own this year and he's only 23!

well...i don't know if any analyst said he would join Houston??

All I know is that there is a real chance he is about to get trade in the very near future and most believe he will opt out, because he will be 30 and will not want to risk injury.

The league has changed. Jordan knows he won't be able to command a high dollar amount anyway with his skillset and non-shooting capabilities. It's nice to know we have options if Capela bolts, but that isn't happening. We would be able to easily sign Capela for much less than Jordan and still keep him happy.
