This can be done on a part time basis. I think Shumpert will guard KD despite being much shorter than him.

That's awful to hear, but I'm not totally surprised either.

Always enjoy your posts when you pop in. Thanks for the info! I think Morris would be a good fit. He can play backup PF giving PJ a spell. And he can play backup C so they Rockets can do "5 out" as a change up to the Faried backup C minutes.

Being able to do "5 out" with Markieff and PJ on the floor at the same time is a nice combination to have against some teams that are big and strong.

#TeamFOE can be part of something here with The Beard.

The 3pt FG% will be good enough. Also, there is the "gravity" aspect. He will pull people out to make room for Harden and Gordon on drives. Even without shooting, he can have an impact.

This was the problem with Ennis. People did not respect his 3pt shot, so no gravity. This is why EG was put in the starting lineup to open up the court.

    Gravity matters.

That Wizards team was hot garbage. But sometimes ROLE and SYSTEM can make a difference. He is the best available buyout guy now and is worth pursuing.

    IMO Jeff B will go:

    Capela on Cousins
    Harden on Green
    Tucker on Durant
    Paul on Thompson
    Shumpert on Curry

    Mostly because:

    - Must hide Harden on Green
    - They won't want Paul to risk foul trouble or embarrassment, so between Shump/Tucker, Shump is better option on Curry
    - The only other player Paul can guard is Thompson, and it's not a bad deal, with Thompson you need an attentive positional defender more than a tall/quick one

Will be interesting to see what they decide.

Somehow don't like the Morris brothers, Marcus or Markieff. Both seems like streaky shooters and we really have enough of them on our team. I get the point that we need kind of depth behind Tucker and that he is close with Harden. It is very plausible to think that he will shoot like crap in the playoffs, too. Not saying that I won't sign this guy if there is nobody else available, just don't be too excited about it. Isn't he shooting 33% from 3 this season? Is he going to get satisfied with 10-15 min of the bench? I just have the feeling that Morris brothers are the ones that like to get frustrated and unmotivated.... maybe I am wrong.

Sure. I mean, I guess our expectations should be limited. His role would be limited. 20MPG at backup PF and C. Just allows PJ Tucker some rest. And that in itself is valuable. I like Gary Clark, and I think the coaches do to.....but they don't trust him totally. He is a rookie.

Yup, even Otto Porter looked good last night for his Bulls debut and they are trash.
