This just dawned on me last night, so maybe this has been more of a subtle change. You guys might even disagree, but I swear I'm noticing it. I've always loved Cat and Francis. Sure, they've gone through some growing pains, and I think they have some more growing to do. But they've always been exciting and for the past several years, they were THE reason to watch. But one thing they did always bothered me. They'd make a good play during the middle of a game, and they would just go nuts with the celebration. They'd be so demonstrative that it was completely obvious why the opposing team had no problem scoring on the next play: Cat and Steve were still "caught up in the moment." I don't have any problems with celebration, but I'd rather see it at the end of the game.....preferably in a playoff game. These guys were doing it EVERY GAME, at any time during the game, and on a lottery team. That just never sat well with me. This year, it seems so much different. They're getting back on defense. Sure, they slip a little sometimes, but it sure seems like a concerted effort to cut out all of the celebration. A concerted effort to win the game. They just seem so much more serious. And mature. Next thing you know.....they'll cut back on complaining to the refs.
I hope he understands. And I hope he's working his butt off to get back into the rotation. I know he's had some issues in his short career, but he's not an unlikable guy, and he DOES have some inate talent.
great observation...that comes with maturity...look like you've been there before and you'll get there again.
