If the opponent is inferior talent, then you can bank on the Rockets not taking the game seriously and it will be close. It has been proven time and time again.

It's what's going to cost them a top seed and likely a deep playoff run due to lack of home court. It's a shame, but they deserve it.

Most teams that "win in the West a majority of their games" usually have more than one star to make up for another stars bad night. We cant call CP3 a star this season, unlike last season.

Defense obviously is a huge issue, but so is the fact that everyone around Harden this year has regressed *besides Clint and Harden basically makes Clint look amazing

They did get off to a good start. It didn't matter. They were up 20 well into the 2nd quarter, but they quit playing and let the Pelicans back into it to close out the 1st half. They made zero adjustments at halftime, while the Pelicans did, and proceeded to get embarrassed in the 2nd half. That has happened time and time again this season.

Good starts, good finishes, whatever. It's all talk. The Rockets have consistently shown that they don't take all 48 minutes seriously against inferior opponents, and that is the problem. They don't play complete games. They don't close teams out.

This is the primary reason they're going to be a low seed in the playoffs and likely suffer an early exit because they don't have home court. It's a shame but it's deserved.
