People like Bellinger and Bauer are the reason I want it to come out that other teams were breaking the same damn rules the Astros were. Maybe they weren't: maybe our guys really did something extra nefarious. But if the same BS was going on while Bellinger, Bauer, et. al. prance and preen on their high horses, I want to see their asses grovelling after it gets exposed. Too bad it'll never happen.
It’s just funny seeing millionaires with awesome jobs and lifestyles getting their panties in a wad over this. Get it out, players. Get all the hissy fits out and then let’s move on and play baseball. We already know that you’re saints and the Astros are devils. Media has made this abundantly clear. Now go out there and try to beat us.
Guess we were stealing their hitting signs when Bellinger was at-bat during that World Series. I mean, he did hit that homer in Game 5, but he also shattered the World Series record for strikeouts by a hitter in a World Series with 17 in 29 Plate Appearances. But, yeah Cody, that .143 average you had during that 7 game series really gives you a case to be complaining.
Good thing I don't care. "If MLB don't want to police them, then I will! Better be afraid to get in that box!" OK Spoiler
but the MEDIA cant get the balls to ask widdle ol' wody Cody about his new possible "cheating" teammate now can they? Of course not. All of this is why there wasn't ANY type of apology that was going to be "perfect" or turn the page any quicker. For these IDIOT f*cking players and media...there were many reasons the players weren't punished and one of those is as we all know. Manred and MLB want this to end right here OTHERWSE more about other teams will come out and that is the LAST thing they want. Our guys our keeping their mouth shut.
Tony Kemp says when he came up in 2017, he was asked to use "the system" and he said no. Was having a good season at Triple A and didn’t want to change anything up. Kept his head down and didn’t say anything. — Susan Slusser (@susanslusser) February 14, 2020 Were the Astros still cheating in last year’s World Series? "Oh, yeah, no question," Kurt Suzuki said. "We could hear it from their dugout. We heard their whistling. What are you going to do?" https://t.co/5GRUNpPXuL — Dan Steinberg (@dcsportsbog) February 14, 2020 Royals All-Star Whit Merrifield on the Astros: "I have no interest in hearing about them…. I have no respect for those guys anymore."https://t.co/GcedSxMKFo — Lynn Worthy (@LWorthySports) February 13, 2020
Not that I have a horse in the race (2%er Astros fan here), but rooting for someone to get injured =/= saying someone deserved the injury he got. You don't hope for someone to get into a car accident, but if someone ran a red light or is driving 100 in a 45 mph zone, and then crashed into something because of their negligence, you won't feel sorry for that particular person. That's the case here.
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy....... **** Cleavinger. Guess who is next? Try to keep that era south of 5 this year Trevor.
