Gonna sound crazy but has anyone else notice how the sixers have beat good teams without AI. It could be a possible that teams are downplaying them but they did beat them. I remember some thems they beat are minesoatta, dallas, san antino.

dallas loses to everyone. they can beat everyone. but man... it must be even more frustrating to be a Mavs fan than a Rox fan.

Mavs win because of the favorable calls they receive at home. They do't get the same calls on the road. They play 8 on 5 at home. They will lose in the first round this year. I am ready for the implosion!

    The Sixers, better without AI?

No, not with the team they would have left.

Are the Sixers gonna be better without AI if they trade him this summer? Teams will definitely be calling the Sixers to see what it would take to pry him loose. In that case, I would say, probably.

that's what sup123 is trying to comment about.
the sixers play unselfish ball and more of a team game and perhaps are better w/o AI

Any team is better w/o AI. It amazes me that some people on this board actually advocate trading Francis for AI.

Well, in that regard, I understand. They have won a few games without him lately, and Kenny Thomas (damn!) has really stepped up his game.

In the long run, though, I don't know how many games they would win; so I'm just saying, that's a lot of wasted money, when you could bring in players for AI that further help the team.

Watching KT play well is painful, but I'm not surprised he had it in him.

I would say they respond and play better without AI. However, there are too many distractions between AI and the coach/front office which affects the team. I think since the owner/front office are not going to change that moving AI would be the best for both parties.

I would probably trade Francis for AI. Steve is just a poor man's AI anyway, and at worst you could probably get more in return for Iverson.

In terms of talent, maybe. But AI is a cancer. Steve at least tries to pretend he listens to the coach.

And how many people have said

I'll never love another girl like I loved her
    or
    I'll start excercising everyday

People DO say things that they don't carry out.

I doesn't matter if he does it, saying that is hardly pretending to listen to the coach, anymoreso than Ivy does.

Didn't they just win again with AI out? Just last night?

    I think they did.

AI is a good candidate for trade during the summer. I don't know if we'd get him; his aversion to practice makes him so un-JVG-type-player. If we traded him to a third team for someone who would fit our team better (*cough* Ray! *cough* Allen!) then I'd be all for it.

I know. But that was after the Superbowl thingy. Francis for the most part does say the right things. Whether he actually does what he says is another story. But I think he is trying to look like a good guy.

Iverson, on the other hand. . .

The Sixers play better as a team without AI, but the team is so mediocre that usually it doesn't matter. Team ball with a bunch of below-average players (I still can't believe people were saying that the Rockets should draft Korver) isn't always as a succesful as one explosive scorer/playmaker doing it all himself.

Thank God you are not in charge of the Rockets.
