here are 2 that i thought of in my new found spare time: #1. mo, jj, pike for al harrington, pollard, jones indiana wins this trade stat-wise at +8.6ppg +2rpg +0.7apg. they will be looking for extra scoring this summer, +8.6 will sound good to them. also they had interest in mo at the trade deadline offering croshere for him. for us, we all know why we do it. just check our new line-up. #2 cato, ag, TE for brian grant, re-signed alston to half the MLE. miami dumps half of grants $$, gets a real center, and a better shot blocker. for us, while we lose some shot blocking, and dont really gain anything as far as rebounds, grant is a fanastic defender and can hit a 17ft jumper regularly. and when grants contract runs out yao will be a FA so it won't tie up cap space that should go to yao. so, for those who are really bored like me, would you do either of these? both of these? or none of these?
i'd do #1... but i seriously doubt the pacers would. we are trading overpaid, underacheivers for harrington, sixth man of the year, jones, an athletic specimen, and pollard, a serviceable backup. if somehow indiana felt that harrington won't want to stay with them, then maybe... but otherwise... and i don't think they'd need to sweeten the deal with jones. who actually can shoot 3 besides dunk. second trade would probably be contingent on whether we get TMac. we don't need alston if still have Francis. and without TMac, we need cato to keep oponents scoring down.
Pacers wouldn't do that trade. Any deal for Harrington would have to include Cat and I don't see them wanting MoT. Pacers could really use Cato's services. That would allow JO to play PF full-time along with a defensive C.
