    2009 Lakers were down 0-1 to Rockets.
    2011 Mavs were down 1-2 to Heat.
    2012 Heat were down 2-3 to Celtics and down 1-2 to Pacers.
    2014 Spurs were down 1-2 to Mavs.
    2015 Warriors were down 1-2 to Grizzlies and to Cavs.
    2016 Cavs were down 1-3 to Warriors.

    2018 Rockets were down 1-2 to Warriors.

    Help me understand this.
    Warriors in 2015 were never down in a series.
    *edit* Welp I lied they were down 2-1 to Cleveland.
    Felt like that series was a sweep somehow.

    I'm assuming that the OP means non-repeat champions as the Lakers, Heat, Spurs, and Warriors have all won titles before the years in question.

    Problem with that is that it would include last year's Warriors team which only lost 1 game all postseason and didn't trail at all.
