McHale helps, but talent wins in this league, not coaching.

I find it funny that he cites Detroit as an example of a team w good chemistry that won a championship in the same piece that says you don't have to be best friends, considering rip Hamilton and billups just stated on sport center that they weren't just best friends on the court they are like family off the court.

No, people call you a hater because you eat, breath, and sleep Mchale hate. Everyone knew he came here primarily because of James and how things worked out in LA. Howard even said as much at the time.

Who is this fellow that looks like Dwight Howard? Those were awesome quotes. Dwight couldn't have said that, could he?

If bevfinds a way to come back(or we find another point guard) we will destroy whoever we play. They key for Mchale is to make sure everyone is healthy. When Terrence Jones returns and he's coming off the bench with Brewer/Smith. Dwight won't even have to play over 25 mins in the playoffs. We are Stacked!

    It was actually Dorsey.

Man, Joey must have been surprised how interested that confused SI reporter was to interview him.

Wow This is EXACTLY what I hoped for...I never thought Dwight would humble himself enough to understand all he needs to do is protect the rim, grab rebounds and find his own shots versus all that crap we saw from him earlier this year slowing the game down. If we get this D12 per the SI article we're gonna be a tough team come playoff time.

Heard an excellent analysis about Dwight's return on the most recent Red & Orange Report (great radio podcast, by the way, for Rockets insider information).

When Dwight is in the starting line-up, he has Harden facilitate on the same side as DMo. Dmo sets the pick, which allows Harden to do his thing or drop it off to DMo for the hook shot. If Dmo has no shot, he passes it out to the wing for a 3-pointer.

The great thing about having Dwight in the starting line up is that he is excellent on the weak side. So with Dmo or Harden attracting the defense's attention, Dwight can slide into the post for an alley-oop, an easy 2, or the defensive rebound.

Up until recently, I was all for starting TJones. But with Dwight back in the mix, it makes so much more sense to have DMo in the starting line-up with H&H. I feel like it's ones of those offenses that, while predictable, is incredibly difficult to stop.

If Dwight can commit to the Wilt role, sacrificing his ego and need for congratulatory praise on O, while learning that congratulatory praise for stifling D is just as satisfactory and needed above all contributions from him on this Rocket team, he would be taking a step not just towards a ring, but a place in the HOF. When fully engaged defensively, Howard is a generational type talent. Ending his career with some champion jewelry and top 5 block and rebound stats puts him in the pantheon of all-time greats. Here's to hoping he does it.
