I saw this link on CNN.com's main page. Nothing outstanding, but nice to see Kubiak get some attention. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/mu...y.coachguarantee/index.1.exclude.html?cnn=yes Nick Saban- Dolphins: He entered the NFL with a lot of hype last offseason. When the Dolphins got off to a slow start, it died down. But then Miami got red hot and finished the season 9-7, reminding everyone why there was so much buzz about the former college football champion taking his first head-coaching job. Give Saban a couple of years to get his kind of players into Miami and then watch out. Marvin Lewis - Bengals: He’s a defensive guy and has the most potent young offense in the league under contract, for the most part, u for the foreseeable future. The Bengals have brought in explosive young defensive players like Odell Thurman. It’s only a matter of time before they take the next step and become a Super Bowl threat. John Fox - Panthers: His Panthers have been plagued by injuries the last two seasons, but they’ve still been a very dangerous team. Carolina has a talented young nucleus with stars like Julius Peppers, Steve Smith and Jake Delhomme. And no coach in the NFL is going to out-gameplan Fox. Tony Dungy - Colts: Yes, he’s struggled in the playoffs. But the Colts keep improving defensively, and it’s hard to imagine that Peyton Manning will retire without at least one championship ring. One thing Dungy has working to his advantage is that he’s one of the most popular coaches in the NFL, so if he ever left Indy, the 50-year-old coach would have his choice of plum jobs elsewhere. Gary Kubiak - Texans: This might appear to be a stretch, since Kubiak has never been a head coach and hasn’t been officially hired yet -- small details we’re willing to overlook. The former Broncos offensive coordinator is about to fall into a perfect situation. He’s working for an outstanding owner in Bob McNair and the Texans have the best facilities in the league. Yes, they’re bad now. But they’re likely adding either Reggie Bush or Vince Young in April and they have to improve on the offensive line at some point. And Kubiak, an 11-year assistant to Mike Shanahan, knows what it’s like to win a Super Bowl.
I like the Kubiak hire. Denver has had a good offense the last few years with guys you can't even name since Elway left. What i don't understand is why is it so complicated to sign a couple O-Line free agents and a good pass rusher? Plenty of other teams have done it.
