You would have to think that Hakeem would have figured out a way to become a 35% 3 ball shooter in today's NBA. They would be unstoppable.

I wonder what it would be like with Yao in todays Rockets team. I think Yao would have a master stroke behind the 3 point line, and opponents would have to respect his 3 point shot

Yeah, that would be unstoppable in today's NBA. Harden playing back in the 80s and 90s would be different though. Those fouls he'd take en route to the basket would be much more physical.

I don't know man.... Dwight asks for post touches, you can trade him, fine. If Hakeem asks for the ball in the post, I don't care if MDA thinks that is a bad shot, you shut up and throw him the damn ball. PnR is a cute wrinkle though.

Allowing Dream to operate 1/1 in that much space would be unfair. He wouldn't need the PnR, but that would be a nice option from time to time to get them on the move. His defense in the paint would just be crazy.

The first time Harden lost his man on D, and yelled at Dream.

You know. Was dream a GOOD pick and roll guy? I remember when Don Cheney took over and got maxwell and Thorpe to play 2 man and they ran it to perfection one game against I believe the Spurs. Thorpe was a master. I don't recall dream being a great roller. A fader for a 10' foot J. Different story. But if dream wanted some post touches you give it to him. Unlike Dwight dream knew what to do with the ball. Dwight in the post is no better than Urkel

With his agility and footwork, you have to imagine Hakeem would have been a master at any style you asked him to employ. I think the only question in his game would be the 3pt shooting. Tim Duncan was a career 69.7% FT shooter and had no outside shot. Marc Gasol is a 77% FT shooter and has a career 34.4% from 3. With Olajuwon's career 71.2 FT%, you would assume he would be in the middle there somewhere, it's just hard to say where.

Dream didn't suck in the post, Dwight does.

No way Harden would co exist with Hakeem. With Hakeem the offense was initiated through him. No he was not in his prime an elite PnR guy. Inside Dream 1st option then hit the open man and cylce the ball. Can you jmagine a world where you put dream at the arc initiating the pick every play? No way. They would be vinegar and water.

Not sure Hakeem and DAnton is a fit. Dantoni doesn't do post ups.

I think Harden and Hakeem could co exist. Harden would get more open shots.

It's an interesting idea, but the Warriors would get to add prime Wilt Chamberlain, so in the end the rich would end up getting richer.
