Will it include him going gangsta against Harden?

Still hilarious that he talks casually about a player getting stabbed by a bench leg (or something?) In the playgrounds. I hope they include that.

That light in his eye when talking about the quality of the team was priceless. You could tell he knew something we didn't know. Something we only speculate about.

One of my all time favorite Rockets even though he was here just one season.

    He was a legit baller.

    Brought toughness to the team.

Ron Artest wore number 96. I think he understood us.

Honestly not mad at him for leaving, he saw the writing on the wall with Yao and Tmac's injuries.

    Very good year with us.

Ron Artest was a more important Rocket in his one year than Tracy McGrady was in all of his combined.

Loved him as a rocket . He had a real passion for the game. I still remember when he went off for like 30 something against the bulls in game we were winning in a blowout and they came back and beat the rockets in the last few minutes .

That was ONE of the most heartbreaking losses I can remember. Artest was so heated. I could tell he loved playing here
Dude even cut the rockets logo into his hair, too bad he left

The significance with Ron Artest is that it shows the newer fans at the time that you need tough , gritty players to help win in the playoffs.

A certain part of Clutchfans was infested with fans who think if Tmac just stepped on the court, he would become Kobe or LeBron.

Failed to realized talent without leadership and toughness will get you beat every time in the first round.

Ron brought the team together and showed lots of heart. He interacted with the fans and the city.

    All in one year.

First time in 12 years we won a playoff series.

Ron Artest Elbowing James Harden on the head for a concussion, till this day, James still has symptoms.
Especially during the Spurs series. Minnesota last year when he fell on his head on the floor at Minnesota.

I remember when Ron Artest learned of the trade to the Rockets, he said "I'm Yao Ming's warrior!"

I honestly forgot all about that, until you mentioned it. I loved what Ron did to the Blazers in Game 6. He took us into the 2nd round, but I'm unhappy and slightly angry about the injury that he inflicted upon James.
I don't think Harden was carrying a concussion against the Spurs, but I think the fall against 'Sota triggered it. I can move on from it, since Harden is playing so beautifully.

I like to remember Ron for all the positive things that he did for our Houston Rockets.

Yeah, i doubt this poster knows what concussions are. And I doubt that Artest's elbow caused him issues in the Spurs series.

Not sure I understand, unless you think Metta and Ron Artest are not the same person?

I liked Artest when he was with Rockets. But he showed himself to be a despicable gangster with that assault on Harden.

I fail to understand the love for him in this thread, when every other thread in the GARM is lauding Harden to no end.
