Should we trade Courtney Lee now?

It looks like Courtney Lee is a restricted FA. He is more well rounded than Kmart

We will have to make the decision to trade Lee now or lose him for nothing at the end of the season since he may not be worth the $$ the Bulls may throw at him.

I personally think we should trade for Evan Turner cuz I love the guy, but discuss the possibilities of either trading Kmart and making lee our starting 2 or trading Lee

Courtney Lee is RFA. Enough said. He is def. going to be on the block for the right price. The Rockets need to move either him or Martin. Martin will be much, much tougher to move and frankly, they can get more out of Lee as far as quality coming back. Martin will get you at least one trash contract coming back to make salaries work.

IMO... If we trade Lee, trade K Mart too for draft picks and start over at SG.
If we trade just K Mart, add a good backup for Lee.

Is he worth the full MLE or more? Contending or even desperate teams may overpay this season with so many of them having cap space.

Trade both if possible. Turner should be looked at for our team.

He's going to command big money so no.

We need to focus on paying Star type players and surrounding them with cheap rookie contracts or bargains.

Draft picks are gold. There are none available for Kevin Martin, plus their has to be salary to match a player in trade in most circumstances. The Rockets have virtually no risk in letting the Kevin Martin slump play out.

They do not need the cap space, and they are getting quality minutes from Lee/Budinger for the time being with Martin on the bench. Morey would love to get draft picks for Kevin Martin, but its not being offered and never will be offered without damaging the teams financial flexibilty for years.

This is obviously why you see him being brought up in trade talks for players like Bogut. They love Lee, but realize that paying him the MLE isnt their path to aquiring a player that gets this team to a title. They learned this with the Trevor Ariza deal. Similar situation they are looking at.

Morris cannot play the SG position, however I would like to see Budinger get moved over to the SG position more often. Then you get your wish with more PT for Morris.

Again, read some earlier posts. There is no point in moving Martin unless you are getting a really good deal in return. You cant just trade Martin at 12MM next year for a couple draft picks... It just doesn't work like that if you know anything how NBA trades work.

Lee will be moved almost certainly although they love him, but he's not the answer. He can however, help bring a deal to fruition like bringing in Bogut potentially.

I don't see why the majority feel like Lee is going to command such a great pay day. Looking at Jamal Crawford's contract which is under this cba wasn't all that high. Crawford came away with 2years at $10M. Nevertheless trade Lee now, there is going to be a hostile bid for him because his value is over inflated due to the lack of depth of decent talent available at the sg position. & that is on the trading block & going into the off season. With the hostile bidding we might be able to get comparable pieces back.

Lee has never made an offensive move in his life. For that reason, he's only a really good role player. Kmart's got defensive issues, but is still a 2nd or third scoring option. That being said, if we get someone like Gasol, then keep Lee. However, if we get someone like Bogut, Martin may make more sense to keep.

Trade Martin and start Lee. If you can sign Lee for 4 yrs 25 mill then do it.

Keep Lee, value of Turner right now is more or less equal to Lowry now that he is playing like a star, i doubt that the 76ers will trade him, let's see what Morey's magic can do.
