I think Milo should get some recognition, and maybe even bill brown and bill worrell. Seeing LA celebrate their greats made me wish we do the same.

I don't want to watch some old man blab on for 15 minutes like it LA. They should just bring an Astros icon out there to throw out the first pitch and keep his mouth shut.

Baggwell, Biggio and Berkman should throw the first pitch for each game.

    "other iconic Houston announcers"??

    Gene. Elston.

Everyone else, Milo included, stands in line behind the Voice of the Astros.

Harshly stated. The other harsh reality is that our greatest commentators won't be able to stand and talk. Elston and Hamilton both passed away a couple years ago.

They are, and a part of it (I believe) is the fact that radio and tv are different media and require different presentation essentially. Elston caught flack for "That's it!" in '86, when Milo was appropriately screaming on the radio. But Elston was doing the telecast; the video feed showed everyone what was happening, including the fans going haywire. He didn't need to describe it. It was a great call. Milo's was a good call, too. They were each appropriate to their respective medium.

Vin Scully is an absolute legend, nobody in baseball can compare, so us trying it would just be a lame imitation.

With respects to Scully, when it got to 7:15 and they still weren't playing ball, I really wanted him off my f**king screen. I'm extremely high strung before and during these games, and it was setting me off.

After the first pitch, Watt should run around the bases like he just hit a homer that got the game within one in the 11th inning.
