So are you saying that if we bring him back, he will ANTI-blossom (or is it "de-blossom")?

    I say NO.

For the same price I'll take him over Keyshawn Martin

I'd say no but anyway I'd imagine he'll choose any offer over ours ,even if we were interested .

He's a good kick returner. For the salary of an exclusive kick returner he's good for your team. If he gets real wide receiver money he's a detriment.

I would say just draft another receiver but that doesn't always work out well either.

This is another prime example – from a long and distinguished list - of how deeply disingenuous Texan fans can be - he caught 76 passes in 3 years with the Ravens, including a grand total of 9 last year. Yeah, uh-huh - he blossomed.

Yes, he caught a singularly important pass in a playoff game and had a memorable Super Bowl - all commendable and good for him. Those two anomalies aside, he was every bit as mediocre in Baltimore as he was in Houston; in fact, you could argue he regressed in Baltimore and is now past his prime.

But, sure – let’s bring him back now that another team has made him good, and all….

He blossomed as a kick returner as soon as he left here.

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p>Jacoby Jones only player w/ KR avg of 30+ yds over last 3 seasons (also 4 TD) (min 10 KR/yr). 4 years ago w/ Texans he had 0 KR.</p>&mdash; Adam Wexler (@awexler) <a href="https://twitter.com/awexler/status/570643462577500160">February 25, 2015</a></blockquote>
    <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

That is just another indictment of the coaching staff that was here. They didn't even try him at kick returns.

Yes they did. He returned plenty of kicks in 2009 and 2010, just not in 2011.

yeah, in 2011, if memory serves, they were trying to make him focus on being an every-down WR and removed KR duties from him

That and they got Daniel Manning who was a much better kick returner than Jacoby was.
