If true, it has to mean that Tilman barged into Morey's office, slamming his fist on the desk and throwing **** around the room, and bellowed:

"Lakers got a superstar! Heat got a superstar! Clippers got two superstars! Even the f%$ing NETS got two superstars! Get me a ******* superstar in the next 24 hours or you're fired!"

Man, if the national sports media thinks the Rockets are unwatchable now...

That's how many of the post clutchfans are right now. They demand for a superstar via magic trade. Fk chemistry, fk position, we need something.

We should absolutely go after him. Gordon, Shumpert (S&T), fillers & exception. We would be looking at ~147 million next season with one or 2 more minimum signings.

Going forward the luxury tax keeps jumping 10 millon per year. 132 this season, project 141 next season. There is no reason to believe it won't reach $150 million in 2021. These salaries are high but manageable.

By the time you are getting ready to pay the repeater tax our Harden/CP/Westbrook run will be over, with CP3's deal being up a year before Harden & Westbrook. It may be easier to trade CP3 as an expiring contract in 2021 after teams strike out in the big free agency since 2020 will not be as big.

There are no other Top 15 players available for the foreseeable future. You may have to overpay to compete. (As did Clippers with PG). This is the window to go ALL IN.

    CP3/ Rivers/ Clemons
    Westbrook/ Green/ Ponds
    Harden/???
    Tucker/ House
    Capela/???

    Boneheaded play by Drummond.

    Boneheaded play by WB.

Reggie and Blake can't get it done.

Why do I have a weird feeling this could actually work? (assuming we swap out CP for Russ)

This team desperately needs to run more and if there's one thing Russ is great at, it's pushing the ball. I think Russ would actually unlock more of James' athleticism b/c he would be getting out in transition more instead of just walking the ball up every time.

On top of that, they would immediately become the best attacking backcourt of all-time. Having two guards that are impossible to stay in front of would create constant problems for opposing defemses.

I was thinking the same thing. We walk the ball up too much at times and Westbrook is the the type of player that forces the other team to run the floor. I think mike can work with the rotation just like he did with cp3 and have both on the floor to start the take Russ out let harden run the offense then bring Russ in and take harden out to run a different offense. People say Russ is a cancer or not a winner because of the way he plays but damn we wish harden would play that way at times right?

Why not? Load up on talent and let the rest figure itself out. OKC is likely looking for a salary dump, so its likely a buy low scenario. Send any draft pick you need

If you want WB you do it now because in a few years he is declining.

We are going to appear to be interested in Westbrook to prevent him from being given away and to possibly generate our own trade with Miami.

Amick's story is an example of the Rockets intentionally sliding info to him for purposes of generating trade talks elsewhere.

I honestly would love to have Westbrook here but know that it is almost impossible. There are teams way more desperate for Westbrook’s stardom with better assets for an OKC team looking to rebuild (which alone makes a CP3 trade not in the realm of being realistic).

I hate what the NBA media and journalism (and sources and insiders) has become; and I hate even more how it always ends up taking a dump on us.

I didn't say anything about any contract. Your communication is not clear.
