I wouldn't get bent out of shape if they allowed hand checking again. I thing the "balance" has swung to far over to the perimeter, really helping point guards. Of course, we'd likely be hurt by hand checking because we "only" have arguably the best two point guards in the league (my opinion, dammit!), and a starting quality shooting guard in Gordon. It wasn't always a guard's universe in the NBA. Here's a better explanation than I could give here:
Personally, I think basketball shorts are waaaaayyyy too long in general - they are almost comical at this point. It's not even "the style" anymore - it just looks sloppy and lazy at this point which is why some of the fashion forward guys like Russ and James are into the shorter shorts. I don't really like the 70s style of short shorts(5" or shorter), but they should definitely be above the knee by a few inches(like 7" inseam shorts). I switched from basketball shorts to running shorts(typically shorter) about 5 years ago and would never go back now - they allow far better range of motion and if you have muscular legs like most athletes do, I can definitely confirm that women take notice of that.
I’m sure you would like that, but I personally prefer proper professional prude shorts to avoid the uncomfortable feelings given that I don’t swing that way lol
Short shorts don't make you gay. Harden and Russ both wearing them. Harden is straight. Wife aside, Russ is gay (not that there's anything wrong w that).

He's trying to be funny, but THIS is the REAL emerging trend IMO. JUST above the knee. $500 shorts that accentuate the crotch shown below. The players doing the short-shorts stuff, they aren't classy - they scream "begging for attention" (sorry Russ & James). But the Justdon shorts, they having staying power.
