we were 28th in defensive rebound percentage this season after being 3rd last year...we suck at defensive rebounding, that wasn’t gonna change all of the sudden once the playoffs rolled around

I mean, we’re starting 3 guards right now...

    17 to 12 in TO's.

I dont know the final stat, but if i rmr correctly, GSW had 20 pts off TO's in the 1st half.

Rockets have sucked in defensive rebounding all year. Careless TO's was uncharacteristic.

We had Ariza, Tucker and a more motivated team with a defense first mentality and identity. Now we have nobody who boxes out, all ball watching. Only Nene, Tuck and Capela occasionally succeed in boxing people out.

Those stats explain it people are looking at CP3 and to a lesser extent DHouse and the bench. This is clearly a PJ Tucker, Capela and KFarried problem. They need to rebound the ball better. We lost by 4 and 6 points not too many adjustments needed, but the adjustments should start here.

14 more shot attempts are more important than defense in Game 2.

Whoever play GS, need to have more shot attempts than them.

Everything boils down to those two stats. It was embarassing at times in the 1st half when they got tip in after tip in. Piss poor.

There's a lot of talk about our offense, ISOball and all that. But we scored more points per posession than they did. We were way more efficient. Them have 14 more shots than we did is simply unacceptable.

When James and Chris have more turnovers than their entire team then of course they have more shot attempts. Our leaders threw away that game.

I've never really liked Harden, Gordon, and CP3 all playing together except at the ends of games. All 3 of those guys need the ball in their hands to get going, and the other 2 just end up standing around and watching while one tries to create. That leaves only Tuck and Clint to box out and grab boards, not good enough. And it also feels like this 3 guard lineup consistently gets outhustled at the beginning of games.

I'd send Gordon back to the bench and put either Faried, Rivers, or House into the starting lineup. Personally, I would put House in the game and see what he brings, especially since has played better at home. Whoever it is, they need to focus on helping rebound on the weak side. House did that earlier in the season but he looks scared to play basketball in this series.
