Couldn't help myself. Article doesn't mention if any of the six victims taken to the hospital were in critical or suffered life-threatening injuries, so I hope and pray they're all okay. Any kind of shooting, or violent incident for that matter, is unfortunate and sad, but I hope this is just some random crazy person or some domestic dispute and not something more grandiose and serious. My natural curiosity wishes that the officers could bring these criminals in alive because I want answers more than anything, but I understand they have to think about their safety and the immediate safety of the public.
9 people injured. The shooter was a lawyer. Does he practice sharia law? Some people have said that. /s
If a non muslim or non black lawyer was shooting people up every other day, based on an ideology shared with a barbaric region of the world - you can bet the educated members of civilized society would be concerned.
It seems like terrorism and racial violence have given the media PTSD. Some shootings -- as grave as they may be for participants -- are not really productive for the public to chew on. But now the media knows in every shooting there is some potential that it was motivated by jihad, or by racial animus, or is an example of police brutality, and that **** sells. So now we're getting headline coverage of these local stories of violence that aren't important to the general public, just in case.
Thank god no one is whining that the police killed the gunman rather than shoot the gun out of his hand, taser him, and restrain him in the back of a cruiser. They ought to give a gold star to the officer that put this gunman down.
Well....I mean, this guy wasn't black, why would anyone care that the cops did their job? You are only supposed to be upset about cops doing their jobs properly when there is a black person involved.
It's unfortunate the man died. Sometimes police need to employ lethal force. But, I'm never going to applaud someone for killing another man. If his death was necessary, I'm sorry for the officers they were put in a position where they had to kill someone. I hope our police department and all police departments are vigilant in looking at their own policing practices and doing whatever they can to make law enforcement as safe as they can for suspects, officers, and the general public.
Nah, he was too educated and not white enough to be a Trump supporter. Jokes aside, apparently this is "recession"-related, as his partnership of 12 years was dissolved earlier this year due to lack of business. I wonder if we will se more incidents like this.
