Hey I am concerned about society. Being concerned that the kid who accidentally shot the other does not come out "twisted" raped and with ptsd and possibility on disability or spending other years in prison actually impacts your own safety and future taxes

They found the gun and will look into where he got it from and maybe charging the person he got it from. Its not a serious crime, its a misdemeanor.

Just another sad episode in an america with no mental healthcare and a ****ton of guns.

 

I’m an Assistant District Attorney in Houston and am actually currently assigned to the Juvenile division (where this case is going to be handled).

I obviously can’t answer specifics about the case but am happy to answer more general questions you have. Send me what you have and I’d be happy to try to answer your questions.

 

you probably work with one of my amazing ADA’s from Galveston County who went up there last year. She worked juvenile cases down here, not sure if that’s what she went up there to do.

 

I didn't mean that in the dick-ish way it came across....was having a convo with Nook and awc713 on the private messaging, which is a pretty badass feature, I would add. If you have any thoughts or whatever, I'd love to hear them.

I get to see my Aunt and Uncle out at the ranch in the morning sometime, I have no idea what to say. Like my brother said earlier, "Hallmark doesn't make a ****ing card for 'so your adopted grandson has been charged with capital murder'".

 

Hmm...I don’t think she’s in Juvenile at the moment, but I may have come across her. Small world for sure.
