I WAS READING A ARTICLE WRITTEN BY FRANK HUGHES ON ESPN.COM. HE WROTE THAT THE PERFECT TRADE WOULD BE A THREE WAY DEAL IN WHICH SHAREEF ABDUR-RAHIM GOES TO SEATTLE, ANTOINE WALKER GOES TO VANCOUVER AND VIN BAKER GOES TO SEATTLE. I THINK THAT IS REDICULOUS FOR THE GRIZZ AND I THINK A MUCH BETTER TRADE WOULD BE MAURICE TAYLOR, WALT WILLIAMS, AND A 2ND ROUND PICK FOR SHAREEF WOULD BE A WAY BETTER DEAL THAN WALKER.

Vin Baker to Seattle? How does that work under the salary cap rules?

Vin Baker to Seattle? At least he wouldn't have to pack. [IMG]
I think you mean Vin Baker would go to Boston since that's the only team that wouldn't be getting anything.
And what would this solve for Vancouver, they would be trading one talented small forward that hasn't been able to help their team win games for another talented small forward who hasn't helped his team win games. And Boston would be giving up a talented young forward who just needs to get in better shape to dominate for a forward past his prime who will probably never be in great shape again. The only team that actually makes out in this deal would be seattle getting rid of dead weight in Vin Baker and acquiring a second superstar to go with Gary Payton.

I hope you didn't mean Vin Baker to Houston. I like the guy, but enough to want him in a Rockets uni.

if he could ever get back to the way he was playing in his first season with Seattle, i would take him for anyone on the team but steve, cuttino, and Shandon.

If Dream could get back to the level of play he had in the mid 90's, then the Rockets should resign him.

Unfortunately (or fortunately since he plays for the sonics), Vin Baker will probably never get back to the level he played at then.

The article by Frank Hughes touched on how all of these guys are disappointments OR don't want to play where they are. He also mentioned how each has the exact same contract. He also mentioned that since each is a BYC then a straight trade would not work. The article was more "tongue in cheek" then real trade possibilities.

    lol Mango, prempeh

A couple of sites said that he was dedicated this time and would be back in shape, both mentally and physically, but since they say that every year, i don't think it will happen either.
