Shaquille O'Neal is being sued in Dade County, Florida, by a former employee of his, Shawn Darling.

This type of thing (people suing rich, famous people) happens every single day. But the details of Shaq's lawsuit aren't your average, every day civil complaint from an ex-employee.

Radar Online reports that Darling is suing Shaq for some pretty heavy stuff: computer hacking and destruction of evidence. (A PDF of the public document is here.)

Darling claims that he worked for O'Neal -- and O'Neal's wife, Shaunie, as well as his "associates" and children as well -- from late 2007 until November 2009, and that during that time, Shaq had him "wipe" Shaq's computers and delete the information in his "AOL" account in relation to other legal issues.

Darling also claims that Shaq conspired with former members of law enforcement to help plant child p*rnography on Darling's computer, that Shaq tried to break into Darling's voicemail account, that Shaq destroyed evidence by throwing a personal computer into a lake and that there's proof of many extramarital affairs on various forms of electronic correspondence owned by O'Neal.

It's quite the nasty little lawsuit and it's not the type of thing that O'Neal probably wants to deal with.

There are some serious charges included in there. It might just be a frivolous lawsuit, but if Shaq actually did those things, he shouldn't just have to fork over money. He should do time, especially if the child p*rn charges are legit.

If he is convicted of that then is he not only convicted of possessing it? He or someone would have to have it in the first place. Which means...

It all just sounds too ridiculous.

I didn't read the full article, but I loved the random jump from destroying evidence to planting child p*rn on his employee computer. The summary made it sound as if he was just doing it for ****s and gigs. :p

I believe Shaq is fully capable of heaving a PC into a lake.

Smells like a shakedown. Why engage in a civil lawsuit instead of taking the evidence to the cops? Probably threatened to go public if he wasn't paid off.
