The Clippers are so overrated. They don't have much beyond Leonard & George.

How now Plow pal? How much more do they need? If the remaining rosterees (rosterites?) accept the roles of their past then they are sitting large (in charge? Let's see'm sing in the Spring).

@xiki It's just...They're the favorite as of now, and I don't see it. I see West Coast/post Raptor title action distorting the lay of the land.
Trez is a hustle effort guy... no more
PBev....shoots better now, but is a shell of his old defensive self...where his true value was.
    Lou is streaky....notta on D.

While I think Kawhi is slightly overrated (slightly!), it's hard not to be enamored with the Clippers.

They have 2 of the best perimeter defenders in the game, in Kawhi and PG. And not only are they great defenders, they can both create their own shot and aren't ball dominant.

They have one of the better PG defenders in the game, in Beverley, who plays the pest role really well. Not that there are many, but by measurables, I'm sure he's top 5 in that category.

They have Lou who can catch fire at any time. They have a developing young big in Zubac who is developing well and will continue to do so without being thrust into a primary scoring role.

And like you said, they have solid depth. Trez is hustle and energy, perfect compliment with Lou off the second unit. They have a star-in-the-making, in Landry Shamet, who will improve on both sides of the ball as he has to play against Kawhi and PG in practice.

Their chances are great, at winning the title. Honestly, I think they're a solid backup C and/or a "David West"-type PF (guy who can pick-and-pop) away from becoming the clear favorites this year.

Neither Pat/Lou can handle the rock well enough...It's going to be all PG & KL....lots of turnovers for the Clips....and more vulnerable on the defensive end than they appear to be.

If Kawahi wins a title in the next two years at the clippers. How much do you want to bet he tries to get a 4th title somewhere else? He will end up being the anti Jordan or Dirk. Just a f’ing mercenary lol

Really? Behind those 2 great 2-way wing players they have:

Guards: Beverly, Shamet, and Lou Williams at Guard. Beverly shot 40% from 3. Shamet shot 42% from 3. Lou is instant offense.
Bigs: Zubac (only 22 and played great the last 1/2 of the season), Trez, JaMychael Green (40% from 3), and Harkless.

That's a really solid top-9. Not perfect, but that's a strong roster with decent depth.

BS. They've got 3 solid guards plus PG and Kawhi. All can handle the ball more than well enough. They will not have serious problems with turnovers.

According to Charania, Kawhi didn't want them Clippers to pursue Westbrook, he didn't like him that much.

It's hard to pinpoint one team as a run-a-way Parader in the West.

LAC so overachieved last year and the page has been turned adding two great players + a whole new dynamic. Sweet Lou might be taken out of his zone? They do look impressive.

LAL? LBJ had'm rolling as a #4 and movin' on up when the 'AD' thing happened and the groin thing happened and the Luke thing apparently took over, took'm under?

Nugs should be better this season unless they were 'just' a synergistic success story?

Blazers are good. Yes they are.

Utes are def better and they were good. Def probably, that is. (Kinda like usually always.)

SAS & Mavs'll be competitive. Kings & Pels will positively surprise for their fan bases. OKC would be in East p/o. Yes, OKC would be in the p/o if they were East. Suns/Griz/T-pups will be Lotto bound and latter two are in view of better days.

Rox? They'll be in it to the end. Or they'll be a shite-storm. I fully expect that JEHj & Brodie (can I learn to say, Brodie???) will make it work and that will be painful for the opposition. Dadgum, this team needs 1 more plug'n'play piece + House to make a home.

Clippers have as much depth as any other contender out there, and more than the likes of Lakers or Sixers.

The main problem is that their best 3 players have injury issues so they should load manage them and end up as a lower seed.

Toronto was the Poster Team for load management (whatta blankety-dank term, eh?) as Kawai played what, 60 games? while the deeper bench guys got their game-legs and won it all. Will Clips' succeed while similarly runnin' it back (no, no I said that NOT)?

They don't have Bev, Harrell, Lou Will and other guys who have shown themselves capable of getting into the playoffs in the west and being competitive on their own?

Just saying.. IF my team were able to win near 50 games in the west and show themselves as one of the most competitive teams against Golden State (when Golden State was fully healthy) and then my team acquired two top tier players who play both sides of the court I'd be extremely optimistic.

That’s awesome. Dude wants to win. He’s fired up at the chance to win the championship.

    Wish Houston had that.

If we agreed to stop televising our games we probably could have signed Kawhi at a discount. But greedy Tilman needs that TV money. And people like Tinman feel entitled to being able to view the games.
