    I could've sworn it was originally "Nay Nay" when he came into the league and still had the last name Hilario. But when he changed it to a single name, it was then pronounced "Nuh Nay". At least that's what I heard everyone saying.

    Why did he change his name, BTW? I always thought Nene Hilario sounded way better than just Nenê.

    I'm brazilian. The correct pronounce is Neh Neh. In portuguese, the word Nenê has what we call "circumflex accent", that's why the last syllable is Neh and not Nay.
