Trump in the past has claimed the Bible as his favorite book, although he has shown little knowledge of it. One passage that might be relevant is found in Acts 12:21-23, about the ancient King Herod. He's only listening to his most hardcore base of followers (Zionist Evangelicals). Some of these folks are in my own family, and they genuinely believe he's a prophecy fulfilled core figure for God in the end times. Sort of like the Anti-Antichrist. The Anti-Christ was viewed as Obama before although they've moved on from there to Hillary, and currently whoever they'll pinpoint next from the Democrats. Important to know that Trump is mostly compared to the Biblical figure David who was flawed, but a key figure that God put in charge to represent "his people". However David was not nearly as flawed during his key moments later in life that Trump is currently in. The guy had an affair, and sent his mistresses husband to the front lines to be killed. That is the key element that allows Trump prophecy believers to justify any and everything he does. In the end of his life though, he acknowledged, and repented & served the rest of his life as one of the most revered leaders in the Bible. Sounds crazy right....?... it is, and its what is being propagated to millions of Americans right now as we speak, and trust me... they are buying it. No shock at all that Trump would start saying himself what he reads about online all day long. So just so we are clear, this is happening where our president thinks of himself as a biblical god character, and millions of people truly believe he's a direct mouthpiece for God. This is where we are folks.

Exactly. Most Christians interpret that as saying the curse word goddam, but really it’s much different than that. It’s basically about doing exactly what Trump and his grifter televangelists are doing to falsely claim a calling from God to manipulate people to gain personally. It’s exactly what Jesus Christ would have stood against and what the Bible warns against. Rarely is one particular sin called out as an abomination but this is called out in particular multiple times for a good reason. Christians more than anyone need to be calling this out. Unfortunately that’s unlikely to happen because pretty much all Christian leaders rely on their position for a day job and fear ticking off a large portion of the people in their congregation who put money in the plate every Sunday.
