screw the usa. i'm going for argentina. the usa team is not representative of the usa anyway. it's a nba allstar team.
What in the world are you talking about?? That's the exact point, the USA team SHOULD be an allstar team of NBA quality. ^voted biggest tard of the thread
Well, at least Ginobili and Oberto were starters on the NBA championship team and have rings this year. That's not too shabby, compared to what the other players got this year.
the best individual players are not the best team players. to clarify, i would rather have team players than the egotistical, arrogant asses that they have. turd.
I believe you on this....but you stil have to players good enough to compete...I would like to see a team that had little a bit everybody on it.... 1. NBA All-Stars (I mean at least one of the calibur of Kobe, Shaq, Garnett, or Duncan) 2. NBA players (borderline all-stars, role players, and bench players) 3. D-League players 4. College Players (not just the best ones, but anyone can fit in) 5. Retired NBA All-Stars or HoF (who haven't been too long retired or can still competitively) 6. High School players I think that would be like 2nd or 3rd greatest USA team outside the Dream Teams....you get a better representation of American Basketball and still be pretty good team internationally.
every country forms their national team by selecting the best available individual players at each position i.e. all-star team.
The difference between this team and some previous ones is that there's some VETERAN talent in addition to young stars whose games are not fully mature. Kobe and J.Kidd are huge for this team so that James and Anthony don't have to carry everything. This team also has dead eye shooters the other teams lacked.
Brazil and Puerto Rico won today... that means: The winner of Argentina vs. USA plays in semis with Puerto Rico, and the loser with Brazil. The losers of the semis and Canada go to the Olympic qualifying tournament played next year.
Amare? Lebron(USA, this is my team)? But this new team is better built(Still offensively weak in the front court). I like the addition of role players, and more shooters.
Argentina is going to get killed, the U.S squad is too deep and damn too good, but if Scola as a good game I'm happy...
bill walton talking trash about francis and wells but nice to hear scola and the rockets get some mention.
Dude what the **** was Walton talking about "Francis and Wells will bring negatives to Houston and hopefully Scola can counter-balance it?" Anyone else catch that
