Period. There will be NO change. There will be no benching Kubiak doesn't do it like that I think Carr Started his last games here . . . . why would we expect less of Schaub So All we can do iss hope he pulls out of this. Rocket River
He will find a way to crush the fairweather fans hopes come playoffs. Majority of objective texans fans see that he is not the Qb to take us to win a Super Bowl. But if we had a better coach, we could atleast been in the AFC championship already, but we have battle fighters in Kubiak and Schuab.
I support the coach who has given us a winning team with yearly expectations of winning a Superbowl. Whoever he rolls with is my guy. That being said, Matt, can you please play a little smarter!
Doubt it, even if he continue with his struggles, I still doubt the Texans are going to cut ties with him as long as Kubiak stays here.
The only reason David Carr started his last games here was because Sage got hurt and there was no choice. That wasn't the plan. It was no secret Kubiak became disgusted with Carr. If Schaub continues to stink and the season goes down the drain, I have no doubt he will be benched so Yates and Case get a chance to show what they can do. One possibility (and the worst thing that could happen) is Schaub plays just well enough to keep the Texans in playoff contention and they miss out.
This goes beyond Kubiak. This is no longer a question of "bench Schaub". That ship sailed in 2008 with the Rosenfels years. Rick Smith and Bob McNair will decide if Matt Schaub is cut or traded this offseason. Not Kubiak. If Rick and Bob want a new QB next year, we will have one, and it will be Kubiak's job to make sure he plays to the best of his ability.
