The majority of the problem in Howard's post ups to me is his inconsistent play when he get's double teamed. Some games when he's double teamed, he makes very good passes/smart decisions, and in others he turns it over several times.

His straight up post skills though are getting better because of better health/getting the ball in much better situations. The more reps he gets in the regular season, the better. I still think he's at his best when he uses his quickness rather then the regular back down post game, but getting that regular season reps will only help him.

I wonder if he will cut down on those types of post ups in the post season and just use his speed more. The only true center in the post season that I think can keep up with his speed is Deandre Jordon/

They don't have it all figured out, but they are getting closer.

I don't like statements like "I've got it all figured out." It usually alludes to the exact opposite.

This is the first team that gives him space in a real system. Ie, he can improvise instead of just posting up and kicking out. His offensive game has imporved astronomically since day 1 but I wonder how it will be in the playoffs with tighter defense.

Howard is playing great, I give him credit for playing and working hard since he arrived here. He is much better than I thought he was.

James Harden has still not figured out that you dont throw the ball across the court to Dwight Howard with less than 20 seconds left in the game and Rockets up by 3.

That was seriously one of the worst plays I have watched and I have been watching NBA for decades now.

If Rockets had lost this game, James Harden would have been crucified and right fully so.

Dwight may not have scored heavily tonight but his rebounding and interior defense were huge. He also defended Lebron on that final shot

Harden's shooting is back. He's also trusting Beverley's 3pt shooting, that's why his assist numbers are up.

In time for the playoff push

They just need to work things out on defense:

So ISO-Harden and posting up Dwight are one of our worst plays to run. Like many have already said, we need to have more pick-and-roll and off-the-ball player movement.

i see that play two ways:

    1) it was either dwights fault for not closing off the lane and harden was just being lazy and in the lane instead of on his man (dwade)

    or

2)someone was supposed to play help d on the backside but would that have been harden? if he was playing man defense he would have been pulled to the top there

    just curious...

Harden had 3 or 4 fouls at that point in the game I think. He knows he doesn't have the lateral quickness to stop that so he probably just wanted to avoid the foul.

That was on Dwight. Harden thought Dwight would come over (as he should have).
