Sorry if this has already been posted but I didn't see any topics regarding it. Very excellent piece by Mike Prada albeit very long but well worth the read.

Here is what he had to say about the Rockets' rookies:

I can't post the whole article because its way too long but here is the link: http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2013/7/...top-rookies-rankings-cody-zeller-kelly-olynyk

FYI he goes into much more detail in the top 33 with our guys just barely missing the cut. Also I realize its summer league but no harm in analyzing what we have seen so far, and this is article is based PURELY off of summer league.

    Enjoy.

I have been very impressed with Olynyk & McCollum.

FWIW, Jack Cooley is also listed there at #13...above Steven Adams (#17)

It's even better than that. He listed five stars, then grouped combo guards, wings, and bigs. And he listed Cooley first among the bigs. Well, third really because Zeller and Olynyk were listed one and two among the stars.

Wow high praise for Cov. He may be the next Kyle Korver.

that's incredibly insightful, backed up with numbers and videos.
Completely agree with what he said about McLemore.
Having only judged Schröder based on his stats, his opinion along with the videos really opened my eyes to the kind of player he is/can be.

MacLemore was looking like a poor man's JR Smith out there when I watched him play.

Admittedly, I know very little about him, but based upon what I've read he sounds like another Marcus Morris. Something I would be fine with.

I think Otto Porter's performance was mostly generated by the bad guard play at summer league. My eye test was saying that he didn't get enough touches or he got touches way outside of his preferred spots so he would just jack up weird shots.

Covington may turn out to be one of those undrafted gems.
