So....we're NOT getting new uniforms...just new font in 2 years?? Did i read that wrong? Slight changes to the current uniforms leading up to 2019 for a full rebrand, or small changes happening to the current uniform set in 2019-20?
Yeah lol no way he does something stupid like lea and completely alter the jerseys and logos and everything. I imagine there will be better color accent coordination. Probably more built around “tradition” like the Astros recently did. Clearly new font scheme and hopefully some mustard thrown in. Since they are changing the font, I’m assuming the logo gets beefed up to match.
The article in the pic on the previous page is incredibly poorly written. It really shouldn’t be that hard. What year will we first see changes? What will those be? Will there be more changes after that? What will those be?
Pretty much what I have been saying for years as it relates to the uniforms. The worst problem was the FONT. Too small, too thin. The uniform color and "R" brand logo are great. It was obvious from a recent @The Cat podcast with Tad Brown that those elements were not going to be changed. The font is not so great and it is clear Tilman see this as well. I wouldn't be surprised if the Rockets look to their black uniform font as inspiration.
FWIW, I've heard one of the (multiple) options is a black "H-Town" jersey with yellow lettering. Don't think the final decision has been made by any means, and I haven't personally seen it with my own eyes... that's just one of the concepts I've heard from someone who has.
I’m not sure why the rockets have been in love with the current uniform design for so long. With the amount of complaining that has been going on in this forum it wouldn’t take a marketing genius to figure out that most of your biggest fans think your standard kit is ****. How in the world do you not know that? Anyways I’ll wait and see what happens, but anything along the lines of tweaking our current uniform and leaving it at that reaks of stupidity. Unless we win a championship this year. Tweak away.
Sure but if we continue to hold on to these things it gets more confusing. The Rockets need to hire whoever came up with the entire Astros’ look. They nailed it.
