It's the right choice. Karl doesn't get along with many people and he seems to have gone from being a very forward thinking strategist to an outdated strategist who refuses to develop. Cousins is a generational talent, there are coaches who can develop him and get him to mature but Karl is not that guy. It's not easy to coach Cousins, but the benefits of coaching him right are huge. Sad reality. Randive just needs to buy Karl out, which it looks like he'll do this summer. Stupid of him to waste an entire season worth of developing young guys because of a few million dollars that don't count against the cap.
