Reigning MVP? Probably a protected species.

He's a brat, bottom line. It's not hard to see why KD left.

I'm sure Russ is a decent guy, but he has not shown an adequate ability to self-reflect and get better.

I like his heart and hustle.

Can we trade harden and draft picks for the reigning MVP?

Is Donovan alright? After defending Melo's three missed threes in crunch time last time, he now defends Westbrook.

Really? The guy secretly arguing with teenagers and throwing teammates and coaches under the bus under a secret moniker, needs a special kind of Westbrook to be a giant p***y?

    :D

That's just so rich... I cannot believe ESPN has shifted the simpleton narrative into defending Kevin Durant. I can think of several NBA greats that would run Dwight How, ehh I mean Kevin Durant out of town.

Dwight has been a cancer at every stop he has been at. The perfect illustration is the Hawks players celebrating after hearing the news of his trade.

I wish the reporter would have said yea you should regret that shot. It was trash and Melo was wide open.

It sounds like it was ESPN's resident OKC bootlicker Royce Young... so no way was he going to say anything harsh.

agree, but Harden never had 2 all star teammates in his rockets days, but yes in terms of supporting cast and overall roster we definitely have a better team

Russ looks like he's threatening to go into decline mode. Last year, dude was basically unguardable on top of the key or in transition if he got a drag screen. This year, that explosiveness seems tempered. Maybe it's the "system" this year, but he certainly isn't getting any better.

Watch from the 16 second mark.

In a 3 point game with 40 seconds to go, Westbrook (one of the fastest players in the NBA) is the last guy across half court, getting smoked by a 32 year old LaMarcus Aldridge. He then meanders around on defense with his arms at his sides before completely turning his back on his man as he hunts for a rebound. This is how he looks on defense 90% of the time, and yet he gets the reputation as a competitor because he plays like a bull in a china shop on offense.

No Melo actually made two 3s late in that Celtics game that brought the Thunder up 5 but missed the free throws. He could have easily drained that shot that Westbrook airballed.
