Was just thinking about this. Russ's pull up mid-range shot is his bread and butter, do you think D'Antoni will adjust for this or is Russ going to lose this part of his game like CP3?

No, what are they gonna do, force him to take a bunch of threes he clearly can’t hit?

CP0 didn’t lose that part of his game either so Idk what you’re even talking about. If he wanted to take his midrange jumpers, he was more than welcome to.

Westbrook is most valuable to us as a secondary creator. Our SF-PF-C better be ready to finish after Russ penetrates and finds them right in the numbers.

It is critical for Dork Pelvis to get more shooters, and more finishers at the rim.

Everything else is taken care of.

Westbrook’s bread and butter is penetrating to the basket. He doesn’t need to be shooting and pull up 2’s or 3’s.... he needs to rebound, get out in transition, drive to the basket and score/go to the line/kick out.

Welcome to? I not so sure about that. We all know the mid-range shot is frowned upon on this team.

I didn't mean lose it as in CP3 lost that ability. I meant the system forced him to abandon it.

Russ played his best ball when he didn't shoot. Penetrate, distribute rebound.

2/3 of GSW’s 3pt shooting monster is out for 2019, likely. JK

I’m sure the analytics back the skill set of most superstars and the coaching staff will adapt to an efficient mid-range shooter.

CP0 never abandoned the midrange, that’s just false...not sure what games u were watching

he increased his 3 point attempt rate by a noticeable amount, but it’s not like he was banned from taking a midrange jumper...he took plenty and was allowed to take them whenever he wanted since he’s very good at it

I'm concerned how this is going to work out but, whatever their record, I think Harden & Westbrook are going to be a lot more fun to watch on the offensive end than what we were seeing last season with Harden & CP3.

Let Harden create. Wes stays pat to cut and explode. That's all he needs to do on the offensive end. Defensively he needs to cover and hide Harden. Hehe, that's what Harden meant he wants to play with Russ.

I'm afraid of Westbrook covering for Harden as well.

They can take turns playing off and on ball.

Harden needs to start watching his OKC tapes and learn to be a cutter instead of standing around passively.
