Pretty sure any Blazers trade not including one of the guards will be dead on arrival.

I'll take the Lakers offer that one is better.

I may be wrong, but I really think it will come down to who offers the best lead player in the package. The Lakers offer several young prospects, but I think they can be beat by other teams that could offer a single prospect better than any of theirs (Boston in the summer, Philly come to mind).

Kind of like when the Pelicans and Kings made a deal for Boogie. The Kings wanted Buddy Hield because they really liked Buddy Hield... that seemed to override all else.

If they had some decent draft picks, maybe... but they don't.

They should add CJ to that deal. Even then, NOP probably still says no.

This is really nothing more than bloggers speculating that the Blazers could make an offer if they wanted to. Whatever.

Probably... but it might depend on the stage of the lead player.

Meaning there might be more of a win-now lead player that trumps all, or a win later lead player that trumps all.

I'd hope the Pelicans would be going for win later lead players.

someone else posted it (before I take credit), but its impossible for the pels to get equal value, so why not wait for whoever drafts Zion? Team that drafts him gets an established elite player in Davis, and the pels get a chance at someone with a ceiling close to Davis.

If this is any indication at the kinds of offers NOLA is going to get over the next week, they might as well pack up negotiations now and just wait unil Boston can enter into the mix. Not sure what's bigger garbage......the actual offers that are being floated, or the fact that media morons are trying to spin these trash offers as having any real value.

Yes, that is a great point. A friend with the Rockets mentioned that to me last night as well.

Looks like Ball is already looking at the front door .. . . .
says he wants to go to Chicago if they are going to trade him

undermines the Lakers; position a bit

Problem with this is, the team that gets Davis probably needs a long term commitment from him, before trading away the #1 pick.

Let's say the Knicks go #1. If Davis is willing to sign an extension right then and there, Knicks would probably offer #1, Porzingis and some more pieces. If Davis isn't willing, I feel like the Knicks would go to war with #1 and Porzingis than rent Davis for a year to try and convince him.

    ****ing nurkic man.

Philly so stupid just trade ben simmons and unload everyone for davis and another max. Idgaf if they become the best team, we only have to worry about them in the finals. They can trade ben simmons and 2-3 bad contracts including fultz for davis and sigb kyrie in the offseason.

Also, if they do then they can beat the warriors and make durant leave in the offseason.

It is reported that Danny Ainge does not need long term commitment from Davis. He can do it later.
