According to Peter Vescey via Twitter, Nash may be close to announcing his retirement: I’m hearing Nash’s pain is forcing him 2 seriously consider calling it a career. He’d still get $ this yr & next & LA’d get cap relief next — Peter Vecsey (@PeterVecsey1) November 19, 2013 http://www.lakersnation.com/lakers-...idering-retirement/2013/11/19/comment-page-1/ Always sad to see a great player unable to go out on his own terms. Hated that he went to LA but damn were you fun to watch. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Y52sQoSAr6g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Some of the funnest basketball I've ever seen. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/YJ0SqgE-X24" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Still mad about this Questionable suspension of Amare leaving the bench = Suspension <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/KTMa0vMcGP4?hl=en_US&version=3&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/KTMa0vMcGP4?hl=en_US&version=3&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
Steve Nash is a great example of why superstar players should always "LBJ" it out and look for the best situations for themselves at all times instead of sticking with their crap franchises with their crap teams out of misguided loyalty. The guy was the most dominant offensive force the league has ever seen and yet here he is looking to retire without a single ring to his name.
Seeing him and Dirk play together on Dallas were fun to watch but it sucks injuries are making him retire smh
what's strange is, even in his mid and late 30s during his phoenix years, he was ultra durable, he only got hurt in LA...
Can't wait for Kobe to come out publicly and convince him to stay... kinda selfish. If the guy's hurt and feels its time.. its time. LAKERS DONE.
He can call it a career and go out knowing he gave it all. He wasn't highly regarded out of college and became possibly the most unlikely 2-time MVP in league history...even at a time when Shaq, Tim Duncan, and Kobe were in their primes.
I'm not surprised. He should have retired after he was done playing in Phoenix, but I can understand his desire to sign with LAL in hopes of getting one last shot at a ring.
Wouldve been nice if Dirk and Nash played together again...shouldve been nice... Nash is a terrific player...2 MVPs is pretty remarkable
Nash pretty much did "LBJ" it, or in his case "Charles Barkley" it. He wasn't that loyal to any one team, he left Dallas for more money with the Suns, and left the Suns for a chance at a ring in LA. Perhaps he could/should have left the Suns earlier, but he didn't really seem to want to leave for his own reasons more so than just loyalty to the team.
Should have retired after last season. The Lakers won't miss him. Love watching him over the years, especially in Phoenix. Next stop: The Hall of Fame.
Probably should have gone to the Heat if he had a chance. He could be a decent backup maybe 3rd string PG on a contender loool.
Remember at the beginning of last season people were calling for a Lakers-Heat final? Nash got Landry Fields a big contract with the Raptors. Jeremy's fans on the Chinese forum are now hoping for a Lin to Lakers trade. On an unrelated matter, did Nash really cheat on his pregnant wife?
