Despite all the media BS, Butler has been a workhorse out in Phila, playing some of his best basketball.

The guy shows up with intensity, always has and always will. With the Alpha that we have here, I don't think there would be problems.

Buying in has never been an issue for Jimmy. It's always been the attitude and work ethic of his teammates that's caused him to have issues in the locker room. I was just listening to a Malcolm Gladwell podcast where he talked about "Agreeable-ness" as a measure of human psyche and a gauge for success. Most people CARE what others think, and are willing to shift their demeanor and decisions to fall in line with society. Jimmy Butler is probably an 8 out of 10 in terms of "Disagreeable-ness". He doesn't give a **** what people think about him, including his own teammates. He just wants to win, and he's willing to wage war on his own people in order to get it done.

Recent accounts of Hardens Work Ethic .. . . . . seems to indicate Jimmy might have to UP his game to catch up

Jimmy is being a prima donna because his teams haven't had alpha dogs on the roster. He's not going to take any of these young cats seriously because they haven't shown enough in his eyes with the lone exception of maybe Embiid. On this team, he knows who the true dogs are (Harden, PJ, CP3, Green, maybe Rivers?).

A glimpse at blinded fan loyalty:

"Butler doesn't respect Towns, Simmons, and maybe Embid because they haven't shown enough. But he would respect Gerald Green and Austin Rivers if he came here."

The BBS is always good for a laugh.

What's even more funny is when posters conveniently leave out other information from a post they're quoting in order to gain some sense of superiority or intelligence. But you do you homey.

and it's weird some people seem to give butler all the credibility in the world. he's a good player but what exactly has he accomplished that puts him so above the likes of those guys. He needs to still learn how to win at a high level just like them and if we're talking about current situations Simmons/Embiid were trending up before Butler even arrived

I doubt Butler is traded and we don't have the cap space to go after him in FA (Thanks Ryan  lol ) But still, if by some chance you can get him you, you do it. #uppingtheriskprofile.

This is just media hype. Zero percent chance Butler is traded.

Butler being a dictator does not make him a good leader or a fit in team sports. A good leader is able to get the best out of his teammates taking into consideration their individual personalities. Take note on how CP3 has held his teammates accountable, yet managed to keep things professional. Kat seems to be enjoying playing and has been having great games since Jimmy left, and Embid and Ben were doing great before Jimmy got there. There is a method to mentoring younger players, and not everyone will respond to Jimmy's sole method, especially in a modern NBA.

An abrasive personality like Butler being injected into a locker room with James Harden, Chris Paul, and Austin Rivers? What could possibly go wrong?

When the trade happened I doubted it would work in Philadelphia since the issue in Minnesota was mainly with Towns and a bit with Wiggins. Most of the rumors was about those two not being serious enough or working enough to improve their game or trying to get better.

Philadelphia has Simmons and Embiid. Simmons is said to have not work on his shooting at all and embiid is mostly a goofball, plus he wants to be the main guy but can’t handle it.

Butler sounds like the basketball equivalent of Feanor, Tolkien's elf hero who was so pissed off all the time that when he died he burned to ash from the inside out.

The difference between the Wolves, 76ers and Rockets locker room vis-a-vis Butler......is that Harden/CP would command the respect from Butler right from the get go. The SAME way Butler respected Wade in Chicago.

That MEANS something. There is a hierarchy in the Rockets locker room that is known and respected. Players play their part.

Just wanted to put that out there.
