Harden and CP, specially CP should put butler in his spot. If they can’t then noone can. Butler has already said publicly how great houston was and praised our team. He knows his place. He knows CP is a big time veteran and harden is two time MVP (I know), he should know his spot

Right now in his career Jimmy Butler needs Houston a lot more than we need him

It might be an issue with the maturity level of his team. Young stars in phily and minny are different then seasoned stars in Houston.

Also hometown cooking and accommodations wouldn’t hurt. Throw in the fact that this would be his best chance to win a ring and the probably the beat coach he has played for.

Philly besides jj redneck is a young team. Butler does not seem to want to babysit. Chris paul and james harden are vets and we play a style of basketball that plays to his strength. Philly has yet to prove anything and they may have talent but like mchale their coach has no plays or plans organized. Butler is someone who would thrive with poppavich larry brown riley vangundy and possibly d'antoni. If he were to become available i would take him in a heart beat. Brandon knight marquis chris and ennis for butler.

3 times. He was THE man in Chicago.

With that said I still want him.

Maybe he just misses home and needs to be as close to Tomball as possible. Bring him to H-town.

It feels like the mood in this thread and current Rockets fans general consensus is that we’re all good and we don’t need him cause of our recent hot streak. With that said things can change and we can definitely use him especially if we can get him at a further discount compared to the supposed original offer to Min.

I’m not gonna talk about Butler’s skills, talents, what he brings to the table or even the possibility that he doesn’t pan out but something totally different kinda dawned on me.

Maybe he just needs to be around like minded superstars and leaders not just in terms of basketball goals but age as well. I can see it being extremely difficult when you’re 1/3 of the “main pieces to the puzzle” and the other 2 are a bunch of 22-23 year old kids (Kat/Wiggins, Embiid/Simmons) when you’re almost 30. There’s a big gap there that’s kind of hard to explain but it’s there. You what I mean if you’re 28+.

WOW!! If this is real maybe we can get our man on the cheap; but do we want the drama that seems to fallow him?

Yeah and what if you're wrong? Rox would have traded so many assets for nothing and they aren't exactly rolling around in depth.

If Butler was really serious about winning like he is claiming, then he shouldn't be a cancer. The age thing is just dumb if he is the oldest there he should be the most mature and show leadership instead he is the one causing drama and messing things up.

I just don't think he wants to babysit anyone. He's not a leader. He just wants to be one of the main cogs, get recognition, but not lead kids. He just expects everyone to play hard like he does. Think Antonio Brown, Randy Moss, or OBJ.

    I am not interested in losing . .. Rivers/House/Tucker
I still want to see what Clark Has

    Everyone else is trade bait
I would prefer EGO stay but you have to trade SOMETHING
and Butler replaces him in the line up

    all that said

I am really getting concerned about this guy
too many of the wrong type of red flags

Can he be traded now, or is there a period the sixers have to wait on?

Just listened to the hoop collective podcast. Ramona said that he has had many bad blowouts with the coach even when they have been winning (in the road against west teams) and that his manner has been awful Jerry MaGuire style . And basically she didnt want to outright say it but hes not resigning there.
