Don't sleep. No Rudy Gay? Sacramento win streak incoming. Why blow it up? History would suggest they're a more formidable team now due to addition by subtraction. Then again, it is Sacramento so conventional reasoning may not apply here.
How so? Had they already traded for him, chances are he would not have suffered the exact same injury since he would not have been in that exact same situation.
That sucks for literally everyone!! I wonder if they would just agree to pay for his rehab + waive him. Even if he's waived, insurance will cover it, and what would the Kings want with half a season of an aging recovering disgruntled Rudy Gay next season? Might be better for both parties.
Sucks for him but great for the Rockets. This puts an end to any slight thought they had of entertaining a Rudy gay trade. We don't need more low efficiency chuckers. Already got Sewer who covers everything negative in basketball.
I wanted Rudy Gay for his expiring contract, iso game while Harden rests, improved 3-pt shooting, good enough FT%, slightly better than avg defense....would have allowed Ariza to float from 2-4 positions. His iso game is not really post up, it's more like turn and face up from about 12 ft.....easily convertible to PnR. I wouldn't have given more than a second unless WCS was included. Rudy achilles tear much like Bosh blood clots........bullet dodged. We move on. Oh, well.
Yes, Brewer is definitely a real all-round threat to our team. Whether it's 2pters, 3pters, individual defense, team defense, passing in transition, rebounds, or free throws he is kind of a jack of all trades when it comes to things you shouldn't do as a basketball player.
By 'our' I assume you mean the GARM. If Gay were in DM the GM's sights RG would be a Rock imo, of course.

I always wonder with Achilles injuries if they are kind of marked for deletion and could not have been avoided either way, or if it just happened due to bad circumstances like a bad warmup, foot placement, slip, improper landing, etc.
Yes, they should have traded him sooner. Not just Monday morning quarterbacking. I said that a month ago. I always felt OKC was going to trade for Rudy when the dust settled. Thunder needed Rudy Gay. Sorry Divac....No Sabonis for you.
But look at the Hollingsworth analysis. That trade reduces our projected wins buy 8 games. That would ruin our season.
From the Summer of 2016: "Rudy Gay is recovering this summer after having shock wave treatment to heal an Achilles injury, per James Ham of CSNCalifornia.com." http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ry-updates-on-kings-sfs-achilles-and-recovery From January 2014: "Rudy Gay injury: Kings forward out after hurting Achilles" http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2014/1/22/5336486/rudy-gay-achilles-injury-kings-rockets Looks like his Achilles was a tear waiting to happen for quite some time
