http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=4629837 Watch the video in the link. Kinda shocking to say the least. Don't know how rampant it is.
Definitely dirty. Definitely deserves suspension. You do this when NO ONE is looking, at least, if any time... not condoning it at all, but... blatantly doing it and even getting caught is DUMB. You can also wait for the ball and play rough on the ball but not at the player... the far-away shot of the defender slapping and punching while the forward is falling was great. Dirty, dirty, birdy.
How the hell did she get away with just a red card. Every foul she committed was with malice. The refs in that game should be suspended, too. They're just as much at fault for letting that dumbass get away with it time and time again.
Elizabeth Lambert always has a future as a WWE diva. Suspended indefinitely from the New Mexico program. http://backporch.fanhouse.com/2009/11/06/new-mexico-womens-soccer-suspends-elizabeth-lambert/
As a U of Utah grad I HATE BYU, but that is just ridiculous. If homeboy from Oregon gets suspended for the season, she should be banned to Purgatory.
OMG she didnt pull her hair hard. The other girl flopped! But honestly I hear this on the radio. Do what you got to do to win? To some extreme I say yea. To be fair they might not be showing the whole picture. Only her bad side. Whose to know what else was done.
ooooohhhhh I need a dirty woman <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/3tU-n154DHg&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/3tU-n154DHg&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Not sure if you play the game or not, but the little you saw there was more than deserving of a straight red card. Those were vicious tackles, most of which were grounds for ejection.
It doesn't matter if the hair pulling really wasn't hard or not, the fact she did it is grounds for suspension. If an NBA player throws a punch that barely grazes and the other player sells it, does it mean the puncher really shouldn't be faulted? I also doubt that hair pull was soft, you can see her head being forcefully yanked back.
No. Deadspin: "Okay, I'll Be The One To Say It...This Is Hot" <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/gNmPybFK2_o&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/gNmPybFK2_o&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> If you throw the 'bow 20 in the above video version), you should expect to reap the whirlwind. Absent any lasting injuries, Lambert is hot.
