    Anyone can study game film and NBA level defenses, 24/7. That doesn't necessarily make them a better player. I'll even go so far as to say that, even though Simmons technically spent a year in the NBA, he didn't physically play on the court against NBA talent. In fact, he didn't play against any talent.

    Mitchell, at least, broke a sweat on the court, strictly comparing last year.

    Also, in games without Gobert this season, Utah is 12-14. In games with Gobert, Utah is 36-19.

    Don't get me wrong, Mitchell is good. But people are acting like Mitchell has no one on his team, while Simmons has always had healthy teammates to back him up. I think the Utah resurgence, post ASB, was more due to Gobert's presence / Utah's great defense, than it is due to Mitchell's greatness.
