Yao's indefiite injury was the deciding factor for Ron to leave Houston.

I think we made a mistake not signing Ron Artest, he doesn't seem estatic about going to the Lakers even though that's a good situation, he does seem a little sad about leaving Houston. Ron Artest is an All-star in this league, we should have kept him.

Nope. He just said that he wouldn't sign with Houston if they offered the same contract as LA in response to a fan email.

    wtf? ron made no sense

saying he wouldnt have signed the same deal with houston because COULD HAVE paid him more, the lakers couldnt have so the lakers gave him their maximum effort but the Rockets didnt.

plain and simple Ron is ALL talk but chose not to come to houston

He just tried to put it in the best words he could. He didnt wanna tell the Houston fans that he went to LA because its a bigger city/hollywood/record deals/better team/chance to win a ring etc.

I dont blame him though...I think

The way I took it was:

Ron wanted more money from the Rockets because they wouldn't be contenders and they could have offered him more. So then he took the Lakers offer because they are contenders and gave him their maximum effort.

Basically he was asking for more money from the Rockets since he wasnt going to be on a contending team and less money since the Lakers are the champs.
