I'm sure everyone has heard that the Mavs, in addition to 2 other teams, are interested in signing The Worm. There have been printed reports, TV reports and all sorts of interviews. There is just one problem... Dennis has said publicly that he will not play for a team that has no chance of competing for a Championship. He included the Mavs in that statement about 2 weeks ago when the Suns/Rodman rumors were going, while on the Jay Leno show. During that show he basically said he wouldn't play for any sorry teams no matter how much money was offered. He repeatedly said it wasn't about the money at this point in his life and wanted to play in L.A. with Phil. He even went as far as to say Phil had 2 weeks to contact him. Hey, Dennis, I think your time has run up. ------------------ Tanking is not acceptable. End of story.
